# WATER FOR US, LIFE FOR THEM!

Millions of people in the world lose their health through lack of access to clean water, and they even lose their life. You can afford a water-well cost or you can make smaller donations to support a joint water well project.

**WHAT IS HAPPENING?**

- 2.1 billion people in the world do not access to reliable water resources.

- 3 out of 10 people do not have clean water in their homes.

- Every year, 502 thousand deaths occur due to the use of contaminated water, and 361 thousand of these deaths comprises of the children under 5 years old.

- 263 million people in the world have to walk at least 30 minutes to reach clean water resources.

**WHAT DO WE DO?**

Yeryüzü Doktorları has been implementing clean water access projects in various countries since 2013, including Chad, Kenya, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Niger, Somalia, Afghanistan, Cameroon, and Benin. To date, a total of **1,095** **water wells** have been drilled across **13 countries**, providing over **548,000 peopl**e with access to clean water. We continue our clean water access projects, prioritizing countries with significant needs.

We are currently carrying out water well projects in Cameroon to improve access to clean water:

| Country | Donation Amount | Duration |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Cameroon | 1,900 $ | 4-6 Months |
| Uganda | 1,1000 $ | 4-6 Months |

**HOW DOES THE WELL DRILLING PROCESS WORK?**

The completion of a water well takes approximately 4–6 months from the date of your donation. However, this period may vary depending on regional conditions. If you cover the full cost of a water well, you may choose the name of the well. Once the well is completed, photos, videos, and a project report will be provided to you. Our water wells are covered by a two-year warranty and are inspected periodically to ensure their proper functioning.

**W****HAT CAN YOU DO?**

Millions of people in the world lose their health through lack of access to clean water, and they even lose their life. You can afford a water-well cost or you can make donations to support a joint water well project.
